A former employee said this in a review about the experience working at Valu-Plus: ¨Valu plus is not a place were i want to work at again. The mangers dont care about you. They hardly give you any work hours and you dont get benefits until after a year and a set amount of hours worked.Your co workers are only looking out for their own personal gain and dont care about one another. The hardest part of the job is having to close your department by yourself.and the only enjoyment you get is the interaction with the customers.¨

Utility Clerk (Former Employee) says"My first job was at a grocery store which was Valu-Plus, at the time I was 17 years old and decided to get into the workforce. The only problem I had working there was that everyone was miserable. No one wanted to work there but had to. I was young and full of energy but as soon as I clocked in, I could feel the energy from my body drain as every hour passed. Cons: miserable employees"
Retail Sales and Security/Head Cashier (Former Employee) says"Cashier and Loss/Prevention mostly. Quickly adjusted to management role and recruiting. Some locations have better managers than others. I believe this company has since closed for business. Cons: Poor Management"
Cashier/stock person (Former Employee) says"A typical work day was to open store make sure it was clean and that everything was in it's proper place. Great customers with a smile and assist them when needed in finding certain goods, made displays for sales promotions, assisted managers with inventory. I can work great with a team or individually, got along well with management and co-workers. The hardest part of the job was standing more than 8 hrs. a day. The most enjoyable was helping customers and solving and resolving customers complaints. Cons: store closed down"
